Pure and Natural Pet is committed to being a responsible corporate partner and giving back and creating positive change in animal welfare Pure and Natural Pet is honored to sponsor the Paws for Life K9 Rescue service dog program. Within this incredible program, canines, and often bully-breeds, are pulled from high kill shelters. Inmates in maximum security state prisons train the dogs for up to a year, where they learn up to 70 different commands. The dog is then matched to a U.S. Veteran, or first-responder, with PTSD and gifted as their service dog.
Pure and Natural Pet has also been hands-on with aiding animal rescue during natural disasters and works as an advocate for animal rescue and supports legislation for animal rights and organic farming. We’ve also added a Collegiate Veterinary Program to further support our future doctors of Veterinary care with options in organic wellness.
Our passion, philosophy and philanthropy flow through everything we do, making it easy to put you and your pet’s health first.
Paws for Life K9 is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving animals in need by finding them permanent homes and providing the resources for successful companionship. Through education, we instill the critical need for spay/neuter and offer guidance to strengthen the animal-human bond. Our vision is to help create a compassionate society which provides safety, refuge and protection for all animals. The Paws for Life K9 Program rescues dogs in animal shelters that are designated for euthanasia and places them with inmates in maximum security prisons. The inmates are taught by Paws for Life K9 trainers how to teach the dogs “Good Canine Citizenship.” The dogs graduate out of the program as ‘highly adoptable’ and are placed in forever homes. Special canines that have the aptitude for added training are trained for up to a year and up offered to a U.S. Military Veteran with PTSD as their Service Dog.
The Grey Muzzle Organization improves the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue organizations, sanctuaries, and other non-profit groups nationwide.
